Wonderful post! MUCH better than the generic "100 things about me". Most of those just talk about favorite colors and stuff.
Blog Post I'd like to read.
15, 19, 23, 62, 47(except I worry it might be too personal), 90, 100.
What are Boob Cookies, Goose Gaggalie, and Bear Boo Boo?
I had to read A Wrinkle in Time in 4th grade. I hated it then, but I wonder if I'd like it now. I just finished reading One Night with the King, and I thought it was a fantastic book. I wonder if the movie's as good; I wonder what about it made it one of the movies you love.
I didn't know you were engaged in highschool, or that you totalled a car. I would guess that both of those experiences affected your outlook, at least for a while.
I enjoyed reading your list. :)
Have you ever been in a book club?
Awesome, Carrie! This list kinda made me relive childhood and youth with my baby sister. I wanna hear more about our cats, Annie Dillard and Edith Pargeter, Catcher in the Rye, nun or President, the coffee shop of love, suburbs, and being a wet nurse. Those are just my top choices, but you know I'd read anything you wrote.
Hey, I just started _Reading Like a Writer_. Have you read it yet?
Love you!
Oh, and I want to hear about #1: "I am Carrie Louise."
Rachel,
Concerning #1, I know that must have been quite the shocker. I bet you thought I was Clive Laples.
Dona,
I loved _One Night with the King_ because of how Esther presented herself before her husband king. It was such a beautiful picture of bold submission. I want to be like that.
I have never been in a book club, but I bet I'd love it. You should give _A Wrinkle..._ another chance. Bill me for your time if you don't like it.
Dona and Luke,
As for the desserts, if I could make them for you, that would be the best, wouldn't it? But it might be years and years before that could happen. Goose Gaggalie: Kyle insists on calling this Peach Cobbler. Bear Boo Boo looks just like its name; it's gooey and brown. It tastes pretty good, though, especially with vanilla ice cream to compliment the chocolate. And Boob Cookies: well... here's your link:

And thanks for your feedback, everybody. Now I have so many topics to write on!
Care,
I didn't get the link to work. I really, really want to know what boob cookies look like.
How about this?

Rachel, the picture at your link is right on. Thanks! :)
I am in the process of giving A Wrinkle in Time a second chance. So far it's not nearly as horrible as I'd remembered (I won't charge you for my time).
As for the boob cookies - in my family we use Brach's chocolate stars instead of Hershey's kisses, and we call them "Star of Bethlehem cookies." They're pretty much my all-time favorite cookie!
I loved the book One Night with the King (it's somewhat different than the movie). Esther's approach to her relationship with the king definitely gave me something to think about, in more than one way. She first went to him expecting nothing for herself save to please him, and I wonder how I can have an attitude more like that. At first I read her "bold submission" in a husband/wife sense, but then I realized that really, it extends somewhat to every relationship, and especially that relationship with the King of Kings. Does that make sense? Anyhow, it became my new favorite novel.
As for my book club question, I think it'd be neat to be in a Christian book club. Not necessarily where you read only Christian books, but where you can trust that the books are decent. I just had that thought recently, that's why I asked if you were in one.
